As one of Egypt’s leading industrial contractors, Hassan Allam Construction was awarded the contract to build two LNG cryogenic storage tanks and ancillary buildings on behalf of Egyptian LNG co. The LNG tanks represent one of two existing LNG facilities in Egypt, making this a landmark project for the country.
Each tank has a capacity of 140,000 m3, a diameter of 79 meters and height of 37 meters. Hassan Allam Construction’s scope of work for the project included earthworks and concrete works for the piles and walls of the two LNG tanks. The company is one of two contractors, in Egypt, with the equipment and expertise to deliver a project of this kind.
