Case study: Algeria’s Auto Route
Through its Algerian Subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction completed 34 bridges and 6 underpasses in Setif City as part of the national coastal auto route project that will connect Algeria with Tunisia and Morocco.
The auto route is currently the largest road work construction project in the world. Hassan Allam Construction’s Algerian subsidiary is sub-contractor to the Japanese Consortium of COJAAL that is responsible for building the overall project.
Hassan Allam Construction successfully entered the Algerian market with its acquisition of a controlling stake in RME-Algeria, a well-known Algerian contracting company with a strong track record in the field of heavy construction. Hassan Allam Construction today employs almost 1,500 individuals in Algeria on major infrastructure construction projects in and around Algiers.
