Project Facts:
Hassan Allam Construction was awarded the construction of Al Atf power plant by international tender, with a scope of work that included heavy reinforced concrete structures, steel structures and utilities.
Al Atf plant is located in a densely populated area and this required stringent safety measures to protect the surrounding neighbourhood during construction.
Exceptionally challenging soil conditions also required HAC to carry out extensive geotechnical engineering, piling, soil replacement/enhancement, and dewatering. The company is highly specialized in such geotechnical and foundation works and was able to draw on its considerable expertise in this area.
For the construction of the Intake and Discharge Structures in the adjacent water canal, Hassan Allam Construction delivered extensive marine work, dewatering, coffer dam construction, and geotechnical engineering know how.
